SKINCARE OVERCLAIM ON TIKTOK PEOPLE MUST BE MORE ALERT

One of the most vocal accounts in debunking these excessive claims is dokterdetektif, a health professional who uses his platform to educate the public. In several of his videos, he critically reviews viral skincare products and shows that many of these products do not have clinical trials to support their claims. In addition, some products contain ingredients that can be dangerous if used without supervision.
In addition to @dokterdetektif, there is also *Doktif*, a beauty expert who conducts laboratory tests on popular skincare products. Using the Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) tool, he examines the product composition in detail and finds that many products do not meet the advertised safety or effectiveness standards. This shows the importance of consumers to be more vigilant and not easily fooled by promotions on social media.
The Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) has also issued a warning regarding skincare products that may be dangerous or make false claims. They encourage the public to be more careful in choosing products and check the distribution permit and composition of the ingredients listed on the packaging.
With the increasing promotion of these products on social media, the public is expected to be wiser and more critical in assessing the claims made by various skincare brands. Before purchasing a product, consulting a dermatologist and checking trusted sources are important steps in protecting skin health.
