Taeil Ex of NCT member was questioned by the police regarding an alleged special rape case.

Moon Taeil (stage name: Taeil) (former) member of the famous group NCT who was charged with sexual crimes is confirmed to have been investigated for a special case of rape. After being investigated for the crime of special level rape by the Bangbae Seoul city police station, the case has now been transferred to the Jungang Seoul city public prosecutor. It is now known that the prosecution has yet to summon Moon.

According to reports, Moon was indicted in June on charges of raping a drunk woman reported by Koreaboo, Monday 7/10/2024 according to Chosun's investigation, Taeil was arrested for raping a woman who was drunk with two friends confirmed that the two people involved were not a celebrity or famous figure.
Moon was summoned for questioning on August 28, two months after being indicted. Of (two) acquaintances who had sexual intercourse with an opponent who could not offer resistance, such as in a state of mental and physical loss of consciousness. If found guilty, he will be sentenced to imprisonment of more than 7 years or life imprisonment in accordance with Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.
Previously, SM Entertainment announced that Taeil left NCT after stumbling upon a sexual harassment case. However, there was no further information after that.
SM Entertainment staff when questioned about the special level rape charges Moon received replied, "For that matter, since the examination process is now ongoing, it is difficult for us to provide information."
