Dear readers,
Aloha! My name is Muna and I teach Prose at Universitas Islam Sultan Agung. With great honor, I offer you the first breath of this blog. Aloha, a word that often greets as "hello," carries within it a deeper pulse—the breath of life, rich with love and affection. In this same spirit, I extend my support, nurturing this space for my students, a haven to sharpen both their reading and writing skills.
It was decided that the blog's name is Sanctuaria which comes from the word sanctuary. A sanctuary is a safe place, a comforting space to turn to in turmoil. This sanctuary, for an obvious reason, is our meeting point for all sorts of characteristics, emotions, and perspectives.
